With many charities struggling to get donations during the recession, Charterfields decided that rather than sending Christmas cards in 2009, they would send electronic cards to their clients and contacts.
As a result, Charterfields donated the equivalent cost of the cards and postage to Homeless and Rootless at Christmas (HARC), a charity based in Sheffield which provides food, company, entertainment and other services to homeless and rootless people in Sheffield during Christmas, New Year and the following year. Charterfields will be continuing to support local and national charities with donations such as these wherever possible.
