Charterfields' asset based lending advisory team were presented with an interesting challenge recently, with a request for valuation and assistance locating funding for a UK passenger rail carriage fleet.  Substantial rail industry and leasing experience, with privatisation valuations of major UK passenger and freight rolling stock fleets, gave us a competitve advantage and sufficient technical insight to handle this demanding project efficiently.  In addition to the valuation of the rolling stock, Charterfields were asked to assist with securing suitable funding, which, with our extensive finance industry contact base, we were able to achieve as an added value service.  Our reputation for undertaking some of the more challenging asset finance based appraisals has been further enhanced recently with projects as diverse as airport ground handling, a large dairy and London transport bus fleets.
