Bernard has been in the profession for almost 50 years, undertaking valuations of industrial assets throughout the world in a very diverse range of industries. Following his training and qualification in Manchester, he lived and worked in Africa for 3 years undertaking, primarily, valuations in the mining sector and travelling extensively. On his return in the 1970’s, he moved to London, subsequently becoming managing partner of John Foord & Co. Following the sale of this business, to Edward Symmons, with whom he spent five years, he joined Charterfields as a consultant providing corporate business development and operational advice. Outside of business, Bernard is a very committed billiards and snooker player and still fiercely competes throughout the country but, sadly, not to the level that he would like.
